Stripped round screw on Corne Aluminium case

Building a Corne (6 column). Accidentally put the circular screw instead of the flat one. Because it’s longer its gotten all the alignment wrong. The screw seems stripped so I’m having trouble getting it out. Any recommendations?

If you're dealing with a stripped round screw in your Corne aluminum case, here are some steps you can try to remove it: 1. Rubber Band Method: Place a rubber band over the stripped screw head. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw while applying pressure. The rubber band can provide extra grip. 2. Pliers: If the screw head is exposed enough, you can use a pair of pliers to grip the screw and turn it counterclockwise. This method works best if the screw is not too tight. 3. Screw Extractor: If the above methods don't work, consider using a screw extractor kit. These kits are designed specifically for removing stripped screws. Follow the instructions provided with the kit. 4. Drill It Out: As a last resort, you can drill out the screw. Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw shaft. Be cautious not to damage the surrounding material. Once the head is removed, you may be able to remove the remaining screw shaft with pliers. 5. Professional Help: If you're uncomfortable with these methods or if they don't work, consider taking the case to a professional for assistance. Make sure to replace the stripped screw with the correct flat screw to avoid similar issues in the future. Good luck!

You can try epoxying a sacrificial allen wrench into the screw. Once the glue has cured fully it should come out easily. Try the rubber band method first I'd suggest against a screw extractor because of how small it is. JB-Weld two part 15min epoxy should do the trick. But make sure you let it dry over night.
