@Matti Airas sensESP V3 decided to give V3 another go. cloned (via zip file) the entire github sensESP main branch to my local PC. Opened this ("main") folder in VS .... copied the tank sensor example cpp file into correct place and renamed it main.cpp. All looks ok, however during a build, i get the following three errors (note: aside from above, i have not touched platformIO.ini or the main.cpp file content)

Could you specify what modifications you have made to the project template? Also, make sure that there are no platform or library updates available on PlatformIO (have a look at the "alien" menu). And what is the "tank sensor example"?

in my second attempt (after deleting/clearing everything from first attempt) .. using the github project template. i havent made any changes to any of the files, exactly as unzipped from the “project template” download. i open it as a folder in Vs, and let Vs /platformio do its thing … i then tried a build and got that error. i will recheck the alien, but didt see any “updates”? and above was done with no other folders/files or workspaces open in VS
