dl vs ul/ol
Hey, could somebody please explain the difference between a description list and general list and common use cases for a dl? Is the only difference that dl should be used for list items with a description?

there's default styling different, but what you said pretty much covers it

pretty much, but also the lack of bullets / numbers for the dt
ul and ol are NOT the same
one is an unordered list, the other is an ordered list that has a counter showing the value as the list symbol

no, they arent general lists
thats just ul
ol has a specific purpose
it has an order
You have to admit though, ol and ul are a lot more similar to each other than they are to dl
im not denying that
im just saying it isnt a general list
