Sanity check - cropped trouser
I got these Margaret Howell cropped trousers recently and I can’t tell if they are good or not.
There is fabric to lengthen them a bit but maybe the high crop looks more intentional?
They feel weird to me at this length but Im not used to wearing an inseam this short so maybe it just takes some getting used to. They are definitely designed to be cropped - the model pics at the end are all variations of the same trouser
Do they look ok?

Also, please suggest any outfit ideas that take them in a different direction - maybe more casual? I plan to wear these at work but would be nice to get some weekend wear out of them too
These are good but I feel like a different coloured sock might make a difference. A cream/beige/off white or black maybe.
If it were me I’d let out that cuff for a little more length, or maybe wear them a little lower at the waist/hip
Also a loafer might be nice with them
agree with heckle - i think the crop is fine but is hitting at an odd spot (hem being higher or lower would help)
i like the fit with the jacket- the added layers makes the crop more of a deliberate play on lengths/tiers. it takes some getting used to but I think you have something worthwhile here
Hmm maybe you’re right about the length - I may let them out around 0.5-1 inch. I tried wearing them lower but the drape goes a bit weird - they feel like they are designed to sit at the natural waist
Yeah white or black socks def looks better
Could be perspective of your photos but the model pics look like a higher crop to me. You could try pinning yours up even a little shorter to get closer to that look
