Black screen after waking up desktop PC from Sleep.
Hello, hopefully I'm in the right place. I built a PC several days ago and I installed Bazzite for my operating system. Really liking the OS so far but I've noticed that if I put it to Sleep and try waking it up, all I'll see is a black screen with a frozen mouse cursor which forces me to reboot the system manually. Everything is up to date from both the Discover and System Update apps. 😲

Do you have an NVIDIA GPU?

I also have an all AMD (5600g + rx 6600xt) desktop and I'm on
bazzite-deck:stable and can put it to and wake up from sleep no problem.
Hopefully someone else can help you since I don't know what to troubleshoot in this caseI’m having a similar problem with a 7900 GRE and a 7800x3d. Going to try a bios update later and see if it helps myself
I think I chose KDE (Like SteamOS) when I downloaded Bazzite, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
with gaming mode?

I do have some experience with Linux through my Steam Deck but I'm still learning
My setup is KDE with gaming mode. If you have the big picture mode when you boot up that’s the gaming mode

I have KDE with gaming mode and have no issues, unlike Shartking
There was a powersave optimization in a recent kernel that caused issues
Reverting it might help

for some reason I read that bottom part as "Stream" gaming mode lol

Im having the same issue with a 7900XT

16gb corsair ddr4 3200mhz
When putting the PC to sleep any sound will stutter once or twice then when waking up it's conpletely frozen on the decky suspend animation im using

Latest stable has an up to date kernel
I have a 6900 XT and have never been able to reproduce this

hmm, I did a System Update but it found nothing to update so I'm probably on the latest kernel. I put my PC to sleep just now and it black screened/froze again on wake up

here's another log just in case. Last night my PC woke up from Sleep fine and I was able to log in, but this morning it black screen'd and froze again
Tomorrow we will have a potential fix for you

I had a similar issue with the bazzite-deck image on a HTPC
Turns out that fix was a bit sus
Maybe it would have helped though
New kernel should be out today on testing for the new new fix
