WilmhelmSK on Apple Watch
I have WilhelmSK displaying data on my iPhone. From what I can see, you can also display data on an iPhone. However, there's no Apple Watch app for that, so I'm baffled as how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

its the same app, works for IOS devices … aka IPAD, iphone, iwatch
What do you mean "its the same app"? There is no WilmhelpSK app for the Apple Watch.
@Scott Bender
scott will need to add you to test flight - so you get the latest watch builds
u will need to send him yr email so he can send invite
The version in the App Store only supports WatchOS v11. The test flight version support WatchOS 10.
I always delay updates to major iOS versions, to allow them to get the major bugs out, so that kept me from updating to WatchOS 11. I updated my iOS to 18.1, which allowed me to update WatchOS, which allowed me to install WilmhelmSK. I don't believe that requirement was listed in the release notes. If so, it should be! Thanks for the help.
Yeah, sorry about that. I actually meant to target v9, which is what the release notes say. I screwed up at some point and it got switched to v11 and I didn’t realize it until a few days ago.
I just installed the Apple Watch 11 but even though I set the watch layout from the iPhone, I don't see any indication on the watch.
Try going into the phone app, switch to a different connection (like a demo server), then switch back to your connection.
Oh and then leave the Watch app and come back
What do you mean by "leave the watch app"?
where do the data to the watch come from? from iPhone via your App? in an old article I read that a plugin had to be installed on SK to send signals to Apple Watch, now it is no longer necessary?
I mean, just hit the crown, and then open the app again
The plugin is now necessary again
The data comes directly from the server, via the plugin. The watch does get the connection info and watch layout from the phone.
I also tried to install a widget on iPhone and if I try to configure it it asks me to install a plugin, but which one?
the wilhelmsk-plugin
ok I'll try,
installed and started the plugin, if I try to configure the widget path it still asks me to install the plugin, while on the watch I still don't see any data
Can you check the server log for any errors and the status codes for requests to the plugin
Can you bring up the Watch app while looking at that log? You should see requests from the Watch coming in.
@Andrea Maci any luck?
sorry but last night I had to go out and now I left my job, I want to clarify that the tests we are doing refer to a remote connection through the SK cloud, should it work? I think so, it seems to me that the widgets you created have a life of their own because they have the possibility of choosing the type of connection and the path, in the connection I put the one I configured on the phone or REMOTE which points to cloud.signal.org
when i activate the app from the phone or from the widgets in the server log nothing happens
but I can tell you that when I configure the watch layout from the phone, when I go to advanced I see that the device receives data, but then that dial on the watch does not receive anything
in fact in this regard I don't understand why the plugin on SK is needed for the clock, does it receive the dials from the phone?
server log not updating in real time on SK on Cerbo Gx and i couldn't see what was happening when i tried to refresh the widget on phone, this is what happens
another thing verified, but for you it will be obvious, if on the widget I set your demo as connection, I see data, if I set demo.signalk.org it tells me the network connection was lost, if I set my remote it tells me to install the plugin, so it is as if I had not installed it or it did not run correctly
If I try to set complications on a watch face, I can only choose AWS
It won’t work with the cloud
The WilhelmSK plugin is not there
And it’s running too old a version of the sk server to install it.
to make more complications available, add gauges under Settings -> widgets on your phone.
I will work on getting the cloud updated to that it will work there. Should be able to do it next week.
(You might want to look into making your server available available on the internet)
And on second thought, it’s going to be a lot of work for cloud support… not sure when I’ll find time for that.
making my server available on the internet was my first wish (even paying for the service) but I couldn't figure out how to do it (I tried with remote.it) then I don't know how to configure your app, I thought that since SK runs under Venus Large it was possible to use the Victron server but I don't think it's possible, where can I find instructions on how to put my Sk server on the internet and configure Wilhelmsk which points to that?
Oh cool. You are running on Venus OS! I have in beta test a version that can connect remotely through VRM.
If you want to test this version, give me your Apple ID email. Otherwise, I should be releasing that next week.
Great Scott, my email is [email protected]
ok, you should get an email with the invite
Go to Settings -> Connections
+ to add a new connection
choose "Victron VRM Signal K"
Enter your VRM username and password
Click "Refresh Installations" and check the box for the device you want to connect to
Enter your Signal K username and password
As far as I know, you are the first person trying this other than me. So fingers crossed!
I will gladly be a beta tester, even for other applications if you want. Thanks
Everything seems to work like a wonder, I finally see the data as if I were on a boat. How much do I have to pay for this upgrade? Thank you
Great! This one’s on me 😉
