what are you trying to install?
Goverlay
worked great last time i had bazzite installed
and what did you run to install it?
sudo dnf install goverlay
it also says this error: Package/capability 'goverlay' is already requested
1: we don't have dnf
use
rpm-ostree install goverlay
2: if it's already requested it means it's present, give me rpm-ostree status | fpasteState: idle

it's installed, just need to reboot
you can also remove solaar, it has a flatpak that's fully functional
tangentially, goverlay still also works fine via an arch distrobox container
Also never every globally enable the overlay
what happens of i global enable ?

Won’t play nice with the updated GTK
And goverlay tries to write into /etc/environment or somewhere elevated like that
I used to edit .bashrc, but now I just made a copy of the steam shortcut into my ~/.local/bin folder and add
env MANGOHUD=1 into the exec line. This still adds it to my Steam games automatically without breaking desktop appsas soon as the DE implements vulkan based hardware acceleration (like KDE) it will crash your DE and you will not recover.
Maybe I shouldn't write this in this thread but since you mentioned it - for me flatpak Solaar is not fully functional. It works and reports battery levels etc. But changing led lighting does nothing. It changes in app but not on mouse/keyboard. Layered Solaar works.
i thought i was crazy for thinking my mouse DPI wasnt changing
dnf is actually a link to rpm-ostree in FA (I think but it does the same thing as rpm-ostree as now)
