smb lmk please and thanks
Is this an issue in any other online games you play? If so, try submitting a ticket to their support team, they are usually quite responsive and helpful with these things
They helped me fix an issue awhile back
If it's with all online games/applications, it might be a problem with your connection to your wifi/an ISP issue, which Riot won't be able to help with
im not sure ill double check rn
If so, try using ethernet, it is far more stable for gaming
i tried ethernet across my house but for some reason it wasnt as impactful to my ping as I thought it would
it maybe reduced it by like 5-10 ms thats it
Eth won't impact ping as much as it will stability
Rubberbanding is usually caused by packetloss
yeah and i realize that cuz it shows me packet loss 5-10%
So eth should lower packetloss
Wireless connection has a tendency to lose data in a way ethernet wont
Goal of eth isn't to reduce ping, but lower packetloss %. If your packetloss isn't 0, it means the server isn't recieving all your information
The way the game works is: your client has a local version of the game saved in your computer's memory
It renders everything based off of your movements, then sends that info to the server
You rubberband when your client loses connection to the server, because it doesn't get all the inputs you sent, so it would be like if you tapped w and then released it: Client side knows you stopped holding w, but the server is never told that, so it continues moving your character forward on the server side

The current status of the VALORANT servers can be found here:

Sigh
My last sentence got eaten
But once you talk to the servr(misspelling so vanguard doesn't eat this) again, it tells your client where you "should" be, and teleports you there
so on your side it feels like you were jerked somewhere else, but the whole time before that jerk you actually werent updating inputs to the server, so it was just moving you based on your last known input state
All this to say
your packetloss is the problem
Try ethernet to fix it
If not eth
Send in a riot ticket and see if they have suggestions for you
Did this reduce when you were on ethernet?
yeah a bit
to 0 or no?
You should be shooting for 0.
i didnt quite realize ngl
