Can't get mods to work on Linux

Hey everyone, I've been at this for hours and I don't know what to do. Hoping someone can help me out. I've been running SOTF through Proton for a while, it runs just fine. I'd like to get Red Loader working, but it doesn't seem to start. Things I've done: - Extracted the Red Loader files to the game directory. - Installed .NET 6 Desktop Runtime and Visual C++ 2015-2022 to the SOTF prefix using protontricks - Verified that the dependency files were where they should be -Verified the game files - Launched the game with Proton 9, Proton Experimental, and Proton GE - Moved around the mod files to different locations, in case I had them in the wrong place. Tried SOTF/Mods, SOTF/_RedLoader/Mods, SOTF/_RedLoader/Plugins and SOTF/_RedLoader/CoreMods -Tried to run RedModManager.Exe from both wine and proton, it opened something but closed immediately -Screamed into the void 😛 It seems like it'd be an easy installation, but it just doesn't seem to work. I only have two mods in the Mods folder: AmmoUI and Knight V Carry. I didn't want to put too many in just in case the mods themselves were the problem. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Should mention I'm running Arch Linux, which is the same as Steam Deck, I believe, so if anyone is running mods on Steam Deck I'd love to hear how you did it.

I tried getting the mods to work yesterday and ran into the same issues as you. I posted in the #modding🔨 channel and spoke with the Redloader developer, but their suggestion didn’t resolve it for me either. It looks like proper support for Linux isn’t planned due to low demand. Hopefully, as the Steam Deck gains popularity, there might be a chance for better support down the line.

The steam deck is very popular but most people aren't playing SOTF on steam deck mostly because the machine isn't meant to handle it

Ah, that's too bad. Thanks for the info, though 🙂
