Meermin loafer sanity check
Hi all,
Just got my first ever pair of loafers from Meermin. Need a reality check on whether I'm being unreasonably picky for what was a modestly priced show that is structurally fine or if this is....sketch. Marks on the soles, little pieces peeling off on the sole right near the heel, marks on the upper, etc. It is all tiny and superficial so I almost feel bad sending them back but....this seems like a QA fail? Or am I being too picky for this price tier? These are things I never would have even noticed a year ago....

I would send them back
So I'm not crazy....
The mark on the upper I think should make these seconds quality so id send them back
The bottom of sole stuff is whatever, and the heel separation is ehh
Yeah, the marks on the upper were far and above my biggest concern. I'm not sure the other pieces would have jumped out to me but I saw the marks on the upper and it just came across as a shoddy product overall
Its unfortunate, I'd heard good things about Meermin but not a great first experience + they even charge a restocking fee ...
idk i'd keep them
The soles will be scuffed immediately and you can prolly just pick off that bit on the upper it looks like
Yeah, upper damage would be my deciding factor. If that’s actually a gouge I’d ask them to wave the restocking fee - if not then I’d just rub it off and keep.
If you're not gonna be happy with them then return and get your money back
Yeah, I tried, the upper damage isn't a piece you can pick off. I don't know exactly what happened, it's almost like part of the sole is melted/fused with the upper? Might come off if I attacked it with tools, but they'd come out looking even worse after that🤣
Offered me $10 off but won't waive restocking if I return. First and last time I buy anything from Meermin...
