Can't access apps after update

Hi. Don't know why, but today, all apps stoped working. I can't connect to Immich (web and phone), file browser and Cup. Only Conduit is working. I have tried to restart each app, and the whole server. Nothing works. I have updated Tipi yesterday.

I have tried to connect to installed apps with domain and local (*.tipi.local). On my domain name, Immich opened before this happened. Now I get the Tipi dashboard. Also tried only domain and domain+port number I have opened the error.log with nano, and there is nothing. No LOG at all. Only a blank file error.log I have installed Librespeed. It has installed, but doesn't open. runtipi | worker: 2024-11-05T19:20:36.307Z - info > Job 6 completed with result: {"success":true,"stdout":"App librespeed installed successfully"} runtipi-reverse-proxy | 2024-11-05T19:20:37Z ERR Unable to obtain ACME certificate for domains error="unable to generate a certificate for the domains [192.168.64.146:8084]: acme: error: 400 :: POST :: https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/new-order :: urn:ietf:params:acme:error:rejectedIdentifier :: Invalid identifiers requested :: Cannot issue for "192.168.64.146:8084": Domain name contains an invalid character" ACME CA=https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory acmeCA=https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory domains=["192.168.64.146:8084"] providerName=myresolver.acme routerName=librespeed@docker rule=Host(192.168.64.146:8084) I have instale even more apps, but they all have the same problem. They don't open I can say, that the system worked for another approx. 24 hours after the update. It happened during the day, that I have removed the network cable by mistake. When I have noticed that, I have put the server back online, and 1 to 2 hours later, the problems started. @Stavros Hi, I have put the conversation together, and added something more. Hope it helps. Feel free to ask, if you need more info. For now, this is just a test server, but I wanted Tipi for serious work...

Hello @leonee, I am sorry I couldn't respond earlier. This seems a very weird issue. First of all how where you able to access subdomains of the tipi.local domain? Mdns doesn't support subdomains by default so did you setup a DNS server to resolve the domains? Also from what version did you update to? Is your server configured with a static IP? Because if not your server may have changed ip address and traefik doesn't know what to resolve. Make sure your server's ip is set in the internal ip section in the settings menu of tipi and then make sure to restart with sudo ./runtipi-cli restart

I have my server set up to a static IP, and a sub domain pointed to it. I have checked the settings of tipi, ant there is the local IP inserted. I have restarted tipi with sudo ./runtipi-cli restart. I have never been able to access apps with *.tipi.local, but I have tried all the possibilitys to get thing working. The most weird thing is, that Conduit is working. I can access it over domain and linux, windows and phone apps, but all other apps are not accessible. I was updating from the previous version of tipi. Hmmm... I was able to access Immich now, but only over local IP+port. I can do this only with 192.168..... It's not possible to access it over domain. I have also tried with "open" button and nothing else is working. Also I can't access it over phone app (local should work, but it has to work with external IP). I have tried the same with all other apps, and as it seems, all are accessible over 192.168...:port. Conduit is running external... Also tipi is accessible external. I have opened the port 8128 on my router for immich, but the connection is refused because it's not secure. In that way, I can access Immich only with http an not https. @Stavros , I hope it helps for solving the issue...

Hello @leonee, for the *. tipi.local domain it's not working due to mDNS so nothing wrong in your specific setup. You can get the local domain to work by setting the same hostname in tipi, e.g. if your server's hostname is myserver you can set myserver.local in the local domain then restart and you should be able to access apps, although not subdomains because mdns doesn't support that Now for the rest, from my understanding only immich doesn't work in your setup? If other apps work fine it means that something is wrong in immich itself

In the beginning, I was able to open the apps in from the menu, that is shown in the attached image. Also Immich, that is set to work over reverse proxy connected without a problem to hhtps. Now, I can't open any of the installed apps from the menu, but if I tipe the local IP+ port, it seems to be working. I have figured out, that also Immich works over exernal IP, but not with rewerse proxy. Because this is still a test server, I will format it today, and set it up from beginning. Hope It will work then. I will also do the setup for the local domain.

Now another question... Is there a timeout set for the Immich app? Some days ago, ( when everything worked 🙂 ), I have synced two phones with the Immich (Tipi) app. On both phones, 1 file could not be synced. The upload stopped on approx. 600 to 800Mb. 1 video was 1.05Gb, the second was 1,5Gb.

This seems really weird, what error message do you get when trying to access the app? It could be due to the traefik upload limit, not sure though

This site can’t be reached XXX.XXX.info took too long to respond. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

thats very very weird are you sure your domain's dns records are pointing correctly?

I am pretty sure, that I didn't set tipi to be accessible from the web, but only local. After the update, immich didn't opened on that domain, but tipi... Hmmm. And after that, The Immich app on phone stoped working. There could be a domain conflict. But why now? Conduit is working, because it's on another subdomain.

well for the domain to work your domain wtf.stoti.info should have an A record pointing to your tipi server's ip

Yes, It is A. I will format the server and start from the beginning. I would say, that I have messed up something. I will tell you how it went, when I am done. Thanks for all. Is there going to be a Matrix synapse server included?
Stavros

You can request it to be added or add it yourself

I would like to add it. I tried to install the Matrix synapse server, but my knowledge is not that far... I failed... Where can I add the request?
