Only thing I can think of is frame limiting enabled in Steam settings. CTRL+2 or Guide+X or playstation or Guide+A for Xbox controller and you can change the limit there
When I change it in the settings it says 3840 x 2160 @ 30hz, check above and it says the same, thanks anyway
relates to this if you use hdmi https://www.phoronix.com/news/HDMI-2.1-OSS-Rejected
might get around it with a displayport adapter or using chroma subsampling (to get at least 60hz)
HDMI Forum Rejects Open-Source HDMI 2.1 Driver Support Sought By AMD
One of the limitations of AMD's open-source Linux graphics driver has been the inability to implement HDMI 2.1+ functionality on the basis of legal requirements by the HDMI Forum
other solution is to use displayport instead of the trash hdmi standard
I wonder. If you log onto desktop mode can you change display settings there to 60hz?
no, same reason as to the one i linked to
Tried an adapter which supports 4k@60hz still no luck, I’ll try it on another monitor to see if it’s tv later on
the adapter has to be an active adapter
can you go to settings > display, and select to manually set display resolution. Do you see an option for 3840 x 2160 @ 60 in the drop down? Also make sure your TV is set to some sort of a "gamemode" setting, most modern TVs have this, and will not let you have low latency high fps without it
