second pic not loading for some reason
I’m assuming you mean the jackets because both shirts are just tucked in.
A good bet is actual vintage from the time, but that’ll be hard to get.
shirts I can tuck in
In the pictures you have attached, I'd say it's less likely that the tops are cropped, and that the pants are high rise
its both
no, the jackets are at waist level, this is common in the 60s-70s
So are you asking about the jackets or the shirts?
Its both, just buy a denim jacket
When it comes to denim vintage Lee rider jackets are probably the shortest in the game.
Barbour makes a cropped waxed cotton jacket.
For leather I’d actually go vintage, those are pretty available.
jackets
Ok, do you currently have any jackets that are cropped to a length that you like?
Vintage leather/suede trucker should get you lots of ebay hits for something similar
this is puma right?
???? no
oh
haha it was a prank
gottem
all denim jackets used to be like this because you're supposed to use it when riding a horse. Levi's, Lee, wranglers etc. They started doing then longer in the 80s. Now it's impossible to find cheap vintage
no it isn't
I'm in Europe : (
Thanks, I know how denim jackets work.
I’m just saying that Lee Riders are known to be the shortest of the bunch.
its still not hard
I am too, I haven’t had too many problems so far
please spoon-feed me
What country are you in? That’s relevant
As is budget
@"miguel" do you have any jackets you like the length of already?
In numbers
i found a ton of vintage american denim jackets in like vintagey/thrift stores when i was last in uk for whatever that's worth
not really, preferable length is ~60cm
tbh i find american denim jackets are like the one constant i can find in a vintage/thrift shop everywhere in the world
ok cool, if you have a length you want my best advice is to look at the size charts for any jacket you look at and see what length is listed for each one
also what is your budget? how much are you willing to spend?
Im in europe and the last two denim jackets I bought second hand were £10 and £30 respectively
Fwiw I bought a vintage Lee storm rider this week and I had like 10 in my size (xl) too chose from in Vinted that were all very reasonably priced
yes but they're from the 80s, 90s. actual 50s 60s 70s are harder which have the cropped look
this is from ~2020 and as cropped as that picture on me
As a fellow longlegs short torso haver
https://www.levi.com/FR/fr_FR/vetements/homme/vestes-en-jeans-sherpas/veste-trucker-type-i/p/A31740004 is this close? also what's your budget lol
This is literally a picture of Brad Pitt in that one Tarantino movie. He’s not from the 60s and neither is his jacket.
idk i feel like most jackets (especially denim) hit at waist still
@"miguel" what's the budget?
The jacket I bought this year new that I’m wearing today sits at my belt line
i mean the easiest way is probably to go to your nearest thrift or vintage shop and start putting jackets on
if you want the vintage look
the jacket is vintage from the 60s
wrangler
miguel how much do you want to spend on this jacket?
if you want help give us a budget or just go buy a wrangler
I dunno what else to say here
https://www.levi.com/FR/fr_FR/vetements/homme/veste-typei1953-levis-vintage-clothing/p/705070066 if you wanna ball out levi's has "decades" collections
Dude if you’re looking for vintage 60s it’ll just cost some money because that shit is literally older than you
for a vintage jacket less than 100€
what country
then you're going to have to search vinted, ebay, depop and in actual vintage stores wherever you live
we can't find a jacket for you that's vintage
I know, but people here are saying they're easy to find
people can recommend new jackets that aren't vintage if you have a different budget for a new jacket
Spain
Fuck im sure Bronson makes a decent repro. Check olderbest.
what about a modern jacket that has that fit
same budget or higher?
That’s because they are! You can get a decent 60s storm rider for a hundred if you’re lucky, you just have to know how to properly date them and hope the other guy doesn’t.
i mean hell if you're not worried about provenance you can just go to the nearest vintage shop
riders are easy because old cropped ones had no pockets
I'll keep an eye on vinted
other idea was a women's jacket xxxl
dunno how spanish prices are looking but i can get a vintage 60s-70s jacket for 30-70 USD depending on brand name, material, and condition
still at 100 euro max or higher budget for new?
and are you looking for the exact jacket in the picture of brad pitt?
does it need to be this one? or you looking for any modern cropped denim jacket with two chest pockets?
from the big three (Levi's, Lee, wrangler)? I guess it's much easier in the US
You also have to watch the lining (horizontal/vertical) if you’re looking storm rider
US / JP / UK I'd say were all under 100USD equivalent for all of those brands
doesn't even have to be denim haha, just one with that kind of cut
I haven't been to spain so I can't speak to your exact market

but those are 3 pretty disparate places
It’s all Chinese made but pretty decent
my proporitions are weird, my elbows are lower than my bellybutton
have you tried looking at the shops around you?
Cut off your arms
if your proportions are weird in person is probably the best/only option
this entire problem is solved if you measure a top that fits the way that you like and use it as a baseline to decide what to buy while shopping online. Or go in person and try it on. We aren't going to hunt down all cropped jackets for you.
oh yeah if vintage stuff in person is too expensive i would take measurements + note the brand and try to find online
Also just get one of the 1960's reproductions from here
Its genuinely better feeling than modern Levis/Wrangler
Yeah I love me some good Bronson
mine too!

this jacket has the exact crop you’re looking for and it looks pretty cool
Olderbest

these look promising, thanks
will do
im aware of my measurements, I need 60cm pit to pit and 60cm length
I went to a denim store, it's all stretchy crap made in sweatshops
and I'm talking about the big brands
vintage shops
From friends in Spain, I understand that finding good vintage/second hand stuff outside Barca/Madrid
The “big brands” meaning what? Because the big players the denim scene are very different from the mall denim brands
You might have luck researching some milsurp, any of the jackets primarily worn sitting down will be cropped
Depending on the jacket it’s also not terribly hard to crop it yourself or have a tailor do it
Depends on the pocket situation mostly
there isn't a huge thrifting culture here
and the vintage shops are mostly a scam
yeah I've been looking into that
Yeah my buddy in Valencia is envious of the UK for that (and nothing else tbh)
Lee, Levi's, wrangler, Lois
There’s a milsurp store in Paris that has a super robust online shop you could take a look there
Universal surplus is the name
Just look up your size on eBay.
they’re $40-60 max.
All of these are very different from their heyday, look for specialized modern denim brands that reproduce stuff if you want new, or just keep checking eBay like puma said
And that also works for Europe btw you just have to add like 40 for shipping and tax
