Is season Rank down real? And how much Rank does it down for each rank?

The rank that you would be on when season resets depend on your current rank. So for example, your rank will be reset to Platinum II if your current rank is Ace Master with rank points between 4700 - 4799, and likewise your rank will be reset to Platinum I if your current rank is Ace Master with rank points between 4800 - 5199....

like when new season starts, our points get minus right?
and if our points get minus, from which rank to which rank?
