Server showing is the server overloaded even with 5 GB of ram allocated to it
Hey I've hosted a server on azure and have dh on it, and no other big plugins, just simple ones like simple sit and login security, still it shows is the server overloaded? running 8567ms behind.. how can I fix it?

try giving more ram and/or decreasing the thread counts
5 gb is not that much if youre generating LODs
okay..
Trying it, thanks!
Anything else? Is there any guide telling me about the general things while hosting a server with dhs? Should I use fabric/paper? Any mod with it for optimisation?
Then, around how much ram is needed? And how can I decrease the thread counts?
there is no guide yet, as its not released yet. its better to use fabric than paper if you have the choice.
depends, try allocating 8 to 12
Okk.. and should I install mods like sodium, c2me?
Oh, any way to reduce the amount of ram needed, like lowering the quality of LODs or something??
you can decrease threads with the /dh command
yes, decrease the amount of threads
lowering the quality of LODs will only reduce ram requirements on the client
Oh, another issue is that /dh command does not work, it doesn't even autofill as I saw in another post, and I am the Operator on server as wel
sodium is very helpfull. c2me slows down DH's generator, so its best not to use that
Do I need to restart the server after changing that?
then you did not set up DH correctly
Lithium..?
dont think so
yep, good as well
But DH was working on server, it was generating LODs while I was standing at a place and in F3 menu also it was showing
oh
I'll try it again
how old is the nightly build you're using?
well as of now the server is hosted on paper, so it's the latest experimental build listed in the server-side support thread for paper
lemme check how old it is
oh, the plugin version doesnt have commands yet
Ohh.. that explains it, thanks! I'll switch to fabric now
the plugin version lacks certain features, thats why its better to stick to fabric
Any other mods which I can use to reduce ram usage?
ferritecore may or may not work
Okk.. thanks a lot! :)
np!
Ram doesn’t affect the overloaded message. That message appears when DH doesn’t have enough threads to keep up with the work load given to it.
Increase your thread counts in the config.
oops
oh.. okay
How many threads should I allocate to it?
Try increasing it by two.
Also, this time I have the fabric mod but still unable to use the /dh config command
I have no idea if that command works and if it does it’ll only work via the server console.
Oh ok, np Thanks!
