Gaps on top layer with .6mm nozzle

Same filament, same nozzle size (.6mm), similar settings. Top is printed on Qidi printer, bottom on RatRig I can't figure out why there are such gaps at top layer? I went tho all the calibrations in OrcaSlicer, adjusted required values, but still have gaps like this. Printing quite slow, at 200mm/s and 2k accel It looks like pressure advance is off as fk, but according to calibration test, it's spot on I'd rather have slight overextrusion like on top part, rather than such holes 🙂

Solution:
Ok, I reset to all generic settings for printer/filament, chose 0.25 Quality/Speed. The slice look about like yours with less walls and a brim. I made one change Quality -> Walls and surfaces -> Only one wall on top surfaces ☑️ . With at least 4 top layers, that should give a smooth top. I'm trusting that your flow/etc settings are at least close....

As a start, re-run the configurator and tell it you're using an 0.6 nozzle.

I had / have that selected. Selected it at start when I did initial setup

Lemme find that setting and try to re-print Is there any way to compare profiles? I'd like to compare all settings between two printers

I went back to the stock defaults, so no personal settings would leak in

The only change

You'll want more walls for strength, obvs. But I was looking at the top. Turning off single top surface, and going to 6 walls, shows no signs of gapping in the slice, that would ruin a first layer.

First layer was all good for me before too. Only top gets messy It's currently heating, will see in some hours 🙂

I meant top layer, lol

Ok I cut a section down to a 15m print, and 4 walls, with a regular top. Just to see if .4 makes a diff

50% done and the inside looks like all the gaps are closing on the holes, so no structural defects on the interior

Nice. I went to print one with one wall top layer, and wound up printing on my magnet 😱
