Where to find loose fit high waist pants.

Hi, I'm new here. (sorry in advance) I think google is just feeding me quick fashion sites like temu, amazon and shein. I'm looking for essentially this see photo, but its high waist loose fit pants. I cant seem to escape 100% polyester land and temu equivalents. Any help, sorry if this is not how to ask a question. I'm in Massachusetts, United States.

There's a lot of options, what's your budget?
Faraven
FaravenOP•3mo ago
i think i'd be willing to go as high as $150 but would prefer around $100. I'm so new to fashion though that I'll accept info dumping too. (i'm trying to escape black straight fit slacks and black mock neck phase)

With that budget I suggest secondhand or ssense sale section tbh

Are you looking for something where the hem is wider than the thigh or knee? Straight fits are far easier to be thrifting but getting even wider can be a little tricky with your budget But like @jawntanamo_bae 🥀 said, secondhand via Grailed or eBay or SSENSE sales is probably your best bet

gottcha, i'll browse ssense. I found something similar on PHIX at $245 which i'm tempted to just get (i'll post a link at the bottom). Although would prefer cheaper. I'm kinda just starting to figure out everything and don't really know whats expected. https://www.phixclothing.com/en-us/products/mens-black-high-waisted-side-buckle-flare-trousers?variant=44387756146935

Imo pants and shoes dictate more of the vibe of fits than tops do these days; maybe shift your budget accordingly

You can probably get way better quality than this (especially if your measurements are the ones I see when I open the link- 34/30- which are pretty common measurements) for this price Especially if you’re patient on the secondary market
Faraven
FaravenOP•3mo ago
yah, 34/30 currently but almost 33/30. been dieting. what would you recommend for secondary market besides whats been said, ebay, grailed and ssense.

Casatlantic may be up your alley Also consider sizing up on pants that have a drawstring — you can often cinch those far tighter and it can really help with looser fits

therealreal has a very good and easy to use setup of filters and occasionally has very nice things priced comically low

You can squeeze out a bit more budget if you try proxying from Mercari/Yahoo Auctions JP assuming you're in the US it's like $20 shipping if it's only the one pair ymmv depending on measurements though

also: are you looking for trousers specifically (like in the image) or pants with this sillhouette more generally

at the moment, yes

basketcase gallery has a trouser model called the Caldwell that could fit what you're looking for - but they do use a pretty heavy blend of synthetics (poly & viscose specifically)

I’d say you should be open minded to having some synthetics in the fabric tbh It’s difficult to get a certain kind of drape without synthetics, and if you do, it’ll certainly cost you a ton

SS daley is great but you’re unlikely to find this pant in your price range Similarly Evan Kinori or JJVE are unlikely to hit $150 These pants feel like shit and look ok, pick your battles There are a ton of high waisted pleated pants out there if you dig in wool, wool blends, cotton, etc and even 100% viscose, poly or triacetate that look good and drape well

I can recommend these. On me they look bigger and wider than on the product photos. https://www.casatlantic.com/products/tanger-cotton-deep-navy

im emphatically dislike these as a recommendation because they're pretty tapered through the knee/calf/ankle vs the OP COS is a decent option Harvesty (probably have to proxy but this is a great option) BR Wide-leg siena pant https://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=580276022#pdp-page-content lots of options on eBay and The RealReal if you're willing to dig and gamble on sizes carhartt wip especially on sale gramicci maybe but can be tapered monitaly maybe universal works but the quality is mid shit off ssense - - https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/pottery/navy-two-pleated-trousers/15428331 - https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/amomento/gray-tuck-trousers/15193131 - https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/uniform-bridge/tan-ae-trousers/15475921 - https://www.ssense.com/en-us/men/product/beams-plus/navy-2-pleats-chino-trousers/17072341 uniqlo (especially women's) could work but i've found the drape on uniqlo pants to be fucking horrible for years a&f - https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/baggy-trouser-56907585?categoryId=6570710&faceout=life&seq=05 - https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/linen-blend-wide-pant-58400332?categoryId=6570710&faceout=model&seq=01

bishopcorrigan
bishopcorrigan•3mo ago
You need something with some body, the Caldwells have no structure Yeah I have like 6 pairs of women’s pants Extremely workable depending on the particulars If you’re going for high waisted and wide leg it’s honestly hard to go wrong Just make sure you’re measuring the right part of your waist if you’re buying online Some of my women’s pants sit like barely below my belly button

when i could fit into more of them i owned a bunch of women's pants :xd: the ebay/depop/trr <$60 structured pants/trousers market is ROBUST are they all gonna be as cool as the ss daleys? absolutely not

That’s amazing, I did an imagine search using the photo I linked and Google didn’t even give me this reference. It just kept giving me shein and temu then a bunch of women’s. Which I investigated the women’s. I’m just shocked I didn’t get the original
