Vivaldi in gamemode
Vivaldi uses KDE wallet to lock its profile.
The problem is in gamemode I don't think KDE wallet is running so you get this error.

I think the problem comes from here I need to either get rid of the auto login or set a blank kwallet pasword. unfortunatly it looks like i cant setup a passwordless kwallet since i set up GPG encryption
You could try this. Go into System settings >> KDE Wallet, and make a new wallet and use Blowfish encryption with a blank password, then set that as default kde wallet and Apply
Nope same thing in guessing it's because the new wallet doesn't have the Vivaldi stuff so it's trying to unlock the old one even though it's not default
Ahh shit no I think I lost my Vivaldi profile I can't even access it on desktop
Try setup Vivaldi again (not fully) on desktop and see if you can access it from gamemode then. I'm a bit doubtful but, it would be great if it works. If it works then it's worth setting up your profile fully again
Look like it's what I orginaly thought the vivaldi stuff is on the original kde wallet. Swtiched to it and vivaldi works now so no lost data :lxl_bishop_phew: but looks like I need to re setup vivaldi with the blank kdewallet to get it to work with that and hopefully gamemode
Ah yeah, that would make sense as the wallet has all the keys etc to open the profile. So yeah you'd need to set up Vivaldi again. Hope it works 🙂
Sadly. I tested it now and it didn't work for me with the kde wallet blank blowfish password but I could use the browser as a guest. What exactly are you trying to do with Vivaldi in gamemode?

So I would lose data by switching it to a new wallet and wolfyreload mentioned it still wouldn't allow it to work in steam game mode
guess I have to install another web browser for use in steam game mode.
apperently you can disable kwallet intgration with
but its not recomended... Im just going to stick to using google chrome when in gamemode unless I can find a way to run kwallet in gamemode
