Steam Recording colors very contrasty in video editor

Not sure if "translation" is the right word, but basically this is an intermittent issue depending on how my setup is at the current time and when it's not involving OBS it's kinda hard to wrap my head around. Basically, I was playing Darkest Dungeon II with Steam Recording enabled. To my eyes ingame the contrast between light and dark seems natural, but taking an exported Steam clip into Premiere made it took VERY dark and contrasty. I'm wondering if that's something to do with Steam Recording being in beta, because considering it being a PC game and the fact that a capture card is not in use I'm confused why there's such a discrepancy Screenshot 1 - Premiere preview window Screenshot 2 - In-game ShareX screenshot

^ and I am aware of Limited vs. Full-range when it comes to piping in console footage with a capture card. Screen recording in OBS doesn't produce the same color issues, so im hoping this is not my fault lol
