Is there any way of adding/computing
Is there any way of adding/computing individual assets to the library instead of entire folders?

@Costantino - CTO @Ilgar (Software Developer) will confirm, but afaik this is not available yet; right now you can recompute individual assets, but not compute them from the go.
It would be great if individual assets could also be added. Some sample projects with useful materials (like the HillsideSample) have hundereds of material instances in one folder, but i would like to add only a few.
the downside is that you wouldn't see the thumbnails, since we have to compute those on our end, but i guess seeing the names is fine?
or the user could drag and drop individual assets from the browser to the library and dash would check if it's a supported asset type and compute it
but i guess the drag/drop functionality from browser to library is not there and would need to be implemented separately ?
yeah it would need to be implemented separately. We're doing some really big upgrade to the content browser in 1.9, so Costantino/Ilgar will likely have some time to dig into how we can make this possible 🙂
Hey, this came up before not sure if was from you or someone else.
I have a note about supporting individual asset compute and the easiest way for us to implement if would probably be directly inside our browser where you can select/deselect individual assets you wish to be considered for tagging/data computation.
I will check if it can fit inside 1.9 as it shouldn't be a massive task (last famous words..)
