Help understanding CDO edits.
I don't quite understand CDO edits, I know how to add to an existing recipe but I don't know how to add a new recipe slot as stated here by @Rex [they/them] . And redirecting me to a Source code or something to allow me to study it would be great just need something as the example doesn't have such preview. For a basis the Node I am trying to modify is a Node in the Research Tree "Alien Technology" - Somersloop but I can't add anything due to it only having added Scannable Objects and no recipes.

Which recipe and what do you want to add to it?
Updated my question to better explain, whoops...
MAM tree nodes are schematics, not recipes., and I don't think you need to do a CDO edit for this. There is a tool that comes with SML specifically for editing research trees.

I see the tool and open the tool, but there is only ways to view and opens the assets no way to edit them and save them with my mod.
TBH, I have never used this tool so I really don't know how it's supposed to work, but I was able to load the alien tech tree
@Robb (Now™)
Play around with it read any docs for it and look at the examples provided in Examplemod
Will try
please don't ping me for every thing you get stuck on, I don't know everything
the tree editor is not useful for helping you edit trees at runtime, it just helps you view/design trees at editor time
well, if the unlock type you want to use isn't there yet, you will have to create and add it yourself at runtime
Sorry
