Spent the better part of a day on DH + Shaders on Mac with no success.
I'm currently playing on a 1.21.1 client / 1.21.1 server and have followed all the prescribed step in using the most recent versions of all the recommended mods (fabric, iris, sodium). I can get DH to work or I can get shaders to work (Complimentary, etc). I cannot get both to work without the well documented "only indirect is supported with Iris" error shutting down DH.
I've seen in other threads people had some success disabling indirect but cant find a place to toggle this. If I'm locked into playing on 1.21.1 am I not going to be able to get shaders to work? Also: I tried older versions of every component but none were compatible with 1.21.1.
Would absolutely love to get this working on my m2 mac.

advanced, graphics, generic rendering is where you can find it iirc
Disabling it actually worked! My framerate is completely destroyed but it is infact rendering shaders far into the distance!
thank you!
lol, np!
it does seem like the render distance changes though? i'm going to upload two screenshots to make sure its actually working. I really appreciate the help though!
the render distance shouldnt change if you disable that setting
indeed! will document and perhaps get a more informed opinion from you than my own
So out of nowhere a few days ago I started getting the dreaded "renderer disabled to try preventing GL state corruption" again whenver DH is running and i try and load my shaders. Not sure what changed as I did not update anything but I can no longer get them working together. Also unusual, when i went to check if it was on in advanced, graphics, generic rendering, the option for instanced rendering was no longer there. I -then- updated to the newest version of DH on the discord and instanced rendering was there again and i disabled it. Very weird.
Instanced rendering is off. Any insight as to what might have changed or what i should try? You were super helpful before.
It sounds like the auto updater updated you to the latest stable build. Make sure it's turned off under advanced, auto updater
i'm currently on 2.3.0-a-dev. Not sure what I was on before circa 10/15.
Oh, so you are experiencing the issue with that version, even with instanced rendering off? That's odd, and I don't know what else the problem/solution could be
indeed but had been running reliably for a month or so before this.
