SMM Ver. 3 "failed to resolve lockfile" error on startup.
I started SMM Ver. 2.x.x up around 30 minutes ago and came across a white screen. I tried restarting my computer & reinstalling SMM. When I did so, my mod manager profiles transferred over, but I couldn't enable mods because of a "lockfile" error. Can anyone help? I was playing on U7 with mods just fine a few hours ago on SMM 2.x.x. I cannot seem to install an older version of SMM because it auto updates.

This is an issue with versions of SMM that weren't updated for 1.0. Please update SMM, and it will work again!

On SMM 3.0
this happens because mods are conflicting in dependency requirements - ie one mod is saying cant have version higher than 1.0 and another is saying ahs to ahve the same mod as version greater than 2.0.
so there is no version that can satisfy both.
If youre trying to play on SF 1.0, you need to adjust your mods to only mods that are compatabile with 1.0
generate another Debug please, as the one you pasted still has logs saying its 2.9.3 rather than 3.0

triggered by @HaatchDayRahI have U7 installed for mods, I don't want to update to 1.0 right now.
i see that. We dont really really support downgrading through the app - too much to offer support of.
when smm updated to 3.0 it also tried to update to the most latest versions of mods it could - some of which probably had some dependency issues and cause more problems for you.
however old versions of mods are still available through SMM - you can select t he version of a mod in a drop down on the mod info - you'll need to figure out which versions were for u7 and t hen select those for each mod you ahve installed, as well as look for Satisfactory Mod Loader mod and install that under an older version. I believe it was 3.6 for SML, but i am not 100% sure about that
The rest you'll need to figure out however you can. I recomend searching through the history of #modding-info-feed to see if y ou can determine the versions compatible with U7
I've tried to roll back SML, but I can't find it in SMM. Is it under "Mod Manager Settings"?
SML is in the mods folder, but I can't find the area that allows you to downgrade SML
Some mods like Refined Power are throwing this error even on their oldest version. Is there any way to force an older version of SML into your mods folder through SMM or do you have to go through Github?
SML used to not be a full blown mod, to roll it back you'll have to go find the releases on github
I take it there's no way to access any version of SMM prior to Ver3?
That'd be github again. But you're going to have to be competent enough to setup a dev environment based upon the git as very few people do that part to help.
You can choose an older version of SML in SMM, just like for any other mod
And for the Refined Power issue, use this version of SMM https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NMM96ScXxZW2M2YvL3-JlQqrI6AUWqlM/view?usp=sharing
