Looks like you're using a proxy
Check the SMM settings -> Set Proxy
I have the same problem even without a proxy
Show a screenshot of that proxy menu
Do you maybe have HTTP_PROXY or HTTPS_PROXY as an environment variable?
I pulled the update today and the mods are no longer displayed in the game (main menu). Before 1.0 everything worked great. haven't changed anything.
We actually wanted to upload the mods to the server (gportal).
Try this build of SMM

Google Docs
SatisfactoryModManager-test-proxy.exe
great, now it works.
I have another concern. How to install the mods on my server (gportal), the SML has been activated by the provider. When we want to add the server, it can't press the green button
You should point it to the root dir
Just
/
as the path
Btw, did you create that FactoryGame/Mods/SML folder, or did gportal create it when you enabled mods on it?Yes, geportal created that
No matter what path we use, none of them let us add the server
You should use just
/
What happens when you do that?Even with / it doesn't work
Show a screenshot of that
On the right side of the button you will see the circle crossed out in red
If you open that in your FTP client, do you see a FactoryServer.sh or FactoryServer.exe?
unfortunately neither
Go one folder higher
To
/
And check thereI now have a higher one and I can't find anything about exe or sh
Yeeeeah, this layout is not compaitble with the mod manager. There should be a FactoryServer.exe or .sh there, and an Engine directory
Without these the mod manager can't know the game version
OK, thank you very much for the help. I will contact gportal
please let us know what they say back, for now I'm adding it back to the bot's auto responses about hosts that don't work
Okay, of course I'll do that. Yesterday I only received the answer that they had passed it on to development and that they would get back to you quickly.
Hi, i have written a ticket, too. I hope the Support will fix this problem.
I just received an interim message where I can be told in more detail tomorrow why only 3 mods are displayed on the server but unfortunately they cannot be activated and the other 15 mods cannot. So the server accesses the manager without us having added the server in the mod manager. The following 3 mods are displayed in the game: DI More Light and DI More Glass and Stauff (QOL) and the last Structual Solutions
The other provider also has the same problem where the mods have not yet been officially released

Hello,
We have now found out more.
The Server Manager cannot connect to our servers via FTP because we cannot grant outside programs access to the .exe.
Mods must be manually uploaded to the server via FTP.
Let's take the SkyUI mod for example: https://ficsit.app/mod/SkyUI
In the top right you should see something called “View Version”. If you click on it, you can choose the version you want to download via “Download”. It is important that you use the Windows Server version:
https://share.g-portal.com/u/gAqEJi.png Once you've done that, you'll need to unzip the .smod file using a program like 7-Zip.
Then you need to rename the folder to the same name as the .uplugin file in the folder. You must pay attention to upper and lower case letters.
The folder “SkyUI-WindowsServer-1.0.13” would also have to be renamed to “SkyUI”.
Once you've done that, you can connect to the server via FTP and upload the "SkyUI" folder to the server in FactoryGame/Mods.
Next, you need to go to where the “Mods” folder for Satisfactory is located on your client, and in this folder you will find a “default-lock.json” that also needs to be uploaded to the server.
If you don't do this, then the server will either not be able to load the mod at all, or it will load the client version of the mod and certain features will not work on the server.
As soon as you change the mod list, you have to delete the “default-lock.json” on the server and upload it again. Otherwise your character will be stuck and you won't be able to move the camera.

heh. thats... amusing. @Mircea (Area Actions) 👆
honestly I'd recommend changing server provider
Nicely meant but no thanks, no Nitrado and co.
There's a lot of different options, and some of them actually will support mods properly - manual installation isn't really a workable answer since both the game, mods, and their dependencies update quite often
Funny that they are worried about .exe files, but are fine with .dll files which are basically the same
Yes, we accept that for now and are happy and glad that mods are finally available for rented servers. I think it will get easier over time. You are now at the beginning. First of all, big thanks to all the modders and their work.
Well, it can only get easier if server providers stop being so stubborn about hiding files
They can just not allow you to upload .exe files if they really want to
But if they hide them, there's no way for SMM to ever work
I guess... this one is answered for now? Nothing to be done about it?
@Robb (Now™) wanna update the gportal command?
You just mentioned the name of a hosting provider (gportal) that does NOT support modded Satisfactory dedicated servers! Check the list here to learn more. https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/ForUsers/DedicatedServerSetup.html#UnsupportedHosting

/sso, it sounds like we should still say the G stopfred Portal does not support mods, and then update the docs page to say "does not provide access to files that SMM and ficsit-cli require to work. you may have success with manual mod installation which we offer no support for"?
I guess
So it works for us. He grabs three mods from the mod manager (if the SML is activated, see picture) and are displayed in the game but you cannot actively use them. You have to insert the other mods manually and it works.
