Ticket: Issue with Advanced Access for Facebook Login Permissions

Question: How has everyone gone about getting advanced access for Faceboook login, is the documentation up to date? I have submitted a couple applications be they just keep saying that I don't need that access.
Attempted: as above resubmission, with what they asked for but they keep saying that my app does not/should not need that access

On which permission do they say you don't need it?
This is the permissions required for facebook
This is the permission required for instagram
Also it requires advanced access for login with facebook so we can use the pages and stuff.
when you say it needs the above list of access, do all those need to be advanced access or just standard access?
Most of them are advanced
And yes, it's pretty hard to approve them 🙂

are you able to provide you answers to the questions on https://developers.facebook.com/apps/appIDHere/app-review/submissions/current-request/?business_id=MyIdHere as I do not completely understand why each permission is exactly required?

yea I pulled out my app id and busness id...
under app review, then requests shows your past requests including evidence and answers
'pages_show_list', - list of pages after authenticating facebook
'business_management', - must have to get the business pages
'pages_manage_posts', - post to facebook
'pages_manage_engagement', - check post engagement
'pages_read_engagement', - check post engagement
'read_insights', - check post engagement
did you submit for instagram?
For all of them (everything is available in the cloud version)

It looks like they are approving all the requests but I just need to answer the following:
Hi, Team!
We were not able to approve the permission that you provided because there's no steps for app verification and app credentials. As a result, we cannot completely verify the permission that was requested.

I'm guessing they are asking about how the API credentials and configured on the server?
Was this something you had our something you had to add in somewhere when you did the submission?
Once I have completed this process I would be more than happy to contribute back a bit more of a detailed process for the wiki for others who need to go through the process and don't fully understand it like I did!
Oh, I think they mean my dummy login credentials, I will submit it for review and keep this thread updated
my 2c. I had a similar issue and it got resolves by itself by just waiting. If page is brand new, postiz doesnt work with it. Apply for those permissions and then just wait 🙂
Try to change creds, sometimes if you answer the same quesiton, their system automatically answer the same thing

Hello team!
While reviewing this submission, we were unable to verify the requested permissions because the use case details are invalid.
The pages_read_user_content permission allows your app to read user generated content on the Page, such as posts, comments, and ratings by users or other Pages, and to delete user comments on Page posts.
The allowed usage for this permission is to read user's and other Page’s content posted on the Page if you need it to help manage the Page.
Oh and a couple other requests, I guess im going to add in their "valid use cases" into my submission and we will see if that makes the AI happy

automated posting for multiple facebook and instagram accounts, that what you mean?
I mean, you can use everything without approving permissions and make the app public if it's only for self use

Not really, my partner will be using it for managing a couple business accounts that she has, a friend, a local market co-op place and a couple of our own accounts. we also have a couple family members that will be using it

I just got rejected, I basically submitted the postiz demo video from the landing page as the screen recording for every feature
Should I have created a test-user on my selfhosted deployment for the fb review team?
Or do I just keep re-requesting the same stuff with my generic ass answers... "we need this to see comments and draw insights"
our usecase for postiz: small bootstrapped startup, have 3 dudes who need to post, this is an easy way to both cross-post and have everyone get the ability to post without sharing creds.
what we have setup: twitter, instagram, facebook are all showing in our Calendar but we're yet to try actually posting. Do we need any of the advanced_access for this stuff?
