Server crashes every few hours, but I have no idea what's causing it.

Hi, every few hours, the server randomly stops, and then starts back up again. I've looked at the logs and there's usually nothing suspicious right at the end of the log before the crash. Here's the log before the crash: https://mclo.gs/c1TidVv Here's the following startup log: https://mclo.gs/BSIJlu6

My server is using too much memory
My panel says my memory usage is high all the time. Your server runs in the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which has significant overhead & tries to effectively use ALL of the memory assigned to it. Memory usage from "htop", Task Manager, or your server panel is the total consumption of the JVM, not just your server. My server is lagging & I think it's memory related. It's much more likely that you are bottlenecked by your CPU, disk, or some inefficient mod/plugin. Rule of thumb, servers should have anywhere from 4GB to 12GB of memory, with 8GB being the 'sweet spot'. If you're heavily modded, add 4GB to that. Too much memory can be a bad thing. Don't exceed these caps unless you really know why you're doing it. Troubleshoot your server the right way: use Spark & send us a report. My server is randomly terminated unexpectedly. Setting your server to use 8GB does not mean that Java won't exceed this amount. As a rule of thumb, allow your system/container about 1-2GB (possibly more) overhead outside of the server. If you're on Linux & can SSH into the system, check your kernel logs. They will report any incidents of OOM. I want to use swap to allocate more memory. Don't. Swap is not free memory and using it can negatively impact performance.

^^ A telltale sign of an OOM is your progress being reverted by a few minutes (up to 5)

I have 3 MC servers running on the network, the proxy, survival, and creative. So is it a case where turning off the creative server to free up total system ram would fix the issue? Or the survival one itself is using too much, more than allocated etc? thanks for the lead though, now im not completely in the dark. I have turned off the creative and city servers to see if that helps but the survival server has allocated 12gb. maybe thats set too high, allowing it to take too much from the system? should I set it back to 10gb? what confuses me is that we havent even changed anything significant, and dont have extra plugins or anything. not sure why memory is suddenly an issue oh, still outta memory container@pterodactyl~ Server marked as offline... [Pterodactyl Daemon]: ---------- Detected server process in a crashed state! ---------- [Pterodactyl Daemon]: Exit code: 137 [Pterodactyl Daemon]: Out of memory: true [Pterodactyl Daemon]: Checking server disk space usage, this could take a few seconds... How many players do you have @Nuttapillar

Usually about 2-8 And the mspt/TPS as been pretty good lately. No signs of lag when it crashes It was actually super inconsistent. Sometimes it'd be good for like 6 hours before crashing, other times it only took half an hour. The issue is fixed now, pretty sure from removing a plugin called heatmap
