Same had like 90-120 fps yesterday now i get around 65-80 could be new iris update or sodium or something i dont know 🤷♂️
i need more than that
try a spark log
(download the Spark mod, and when you're getting bad performance run
/sparkc profiler --timeout 20
)Just says expected flag at position 1 but got ‘timeout’ instead @IMS
did you do the double dash

Yep
spark
spark is a performance profiler for Minecraft clients, servers, and proxies.
EMF is taking quite a bit of a hit
do you have an animated model pack
Perhaps
try removing it
also lower your shadow distance a little if it's at max

What ab now?
My GPU usage tends to drop to 70% then back to regular too
@IMS
now it just says you have a high render distance
that's basically all I can tell
Thank you for you time bro
1.21.1 NF 21.1.61 Sodium 0.6.0 beta 2 + Iris 1.8.0 beta 4 + spark 1.10.109 + Complementary Shaders 5.3: https://spark.lucko.me/LwIckjXE5J
same but beta 5: https://spark.lucko.me/NYkOXNmcoD
beta 5 but updated to NF 21.1.64: https://spark.lucko.me/5wtfmKSuNi
all of which about 150 avg fps once all chunks were generated using the same seed, 20 render 12 simulation and default shader settings
I do not notice a single change in performance other than being able to run Iris past 21.1.61 with beta 5
all these results seem more in margin of error rather than truly differ
just noticed OBS was still running in the background, without it running I get about 163 fps avg - understandable given the settings I use for high quality recordings
this also goes to show that outside factors can easily be at play
@IMS the “entity culling” mod fixed everything
Avg 105 fps with emf and animation on, with higher render distance, truly a great mod
it works now all i had to do is overclock my gpu
Overclocking modern gpus gets you at most a 10% bump. It'll never be the difference between bad and good performance.
i have a gpu from the 2000s
