I know little about Linux, but If I recall correctly, Linux can't see drives that are formatted in NTFS. If your drives are NTFS, try going through the installation media and format them
linux can access ntfs, and even if it cant, it should still show up in partition manager
try running
lsblk
and give the output hereI saw the problem. I had to boot up windows setup to notice it.. my SSDs were marked as Type RAID instead of NVMe. Changed it on BIOS>SATA configuration. Now they showed up in Bazzite installation so I assume they will now show up inside Bazzite
The problem now is that I’m not sure how to make it available for game installations 😅
you need to use btrfs for steam library
Got it working. Followed a guide thank you
Now my problem is that I have no sound at all… when I turn on the laptop I get the Republic of Gamers logo with sound but when it gets inside Bazzite, there’s no sound at all
Run
alsamixer
in a terminal and see if any relevant channels are set to zero, or muted (marked MM
). If so, use the arrow keys to select the channel and press M
to unmute, or arrow up to raise the volume. You may need to repeat this for multiple sound cards (F6
).Wait, my steam library is on an ext4 drive. Even though it is a native Linux filesystem, do I need to convert to BTRFS?
ext4 works too. but btrfs is recommended
