Defining ADA Messages
working on the docs page for ADA messages. the new 1.0 system looks pretty nice, but I had a few questions:
- the doc comment on mSubtitles mentions a "narrative sync tool" for generating subtitles from the mMessage field and timing them correctly. is this tool something we could get access to, or should we try to make our own? I didn't see any evidence of the tool being included in the project already so I assume it's an editor widget on CSS's side
- we already have pretty decent settings for generating ADA via the TTS, but is there any info on generating the alien messages? I know it's distorted ADA
here's the docs page so far. currently quite a mess, so it's not even on the sidebar

@Robb for the audio to text time correlation, the best option (without any further development) would be to just scrub the audio timeline to match stuff up but if CSS have a tool they could share it would help
yeah, the comment really makes it sound like they have something so I wanted to ask and see if Arch chimed in
in the past there was that "speaking rate" setting and 0.06/0.07 seemed to work as a nice default
I'm not a sound engineer, of course, but I think I got something more or less similar
Here are the effect settings from Adobe Audition
The alien effects have not yet been recreated
I think the tool being referenced is just a tool that updates narattive assets from excel document
i don't think it does anything super useful for you guys
also not a sound engineer. this sounds too echo-y to me personally, I prefer the unmodified output of the TTS over this example
