1440p YT Streaming Help - VOD shows 1080p as max quality
Hi guys, looking for some help getting my OBS settings right so that I can stream direct to YT at 1440p60 (upscaled from 1080p canvas) because when checking back in on the VOD straight after ending the stream it shows 1080p as the max quality option
Please see attached my OBS Studio settings - using a dedicated stream PC with an Arc A750 and have 50mbps upload so if needed I can crank up the bitrate and presumably the sharpening settings (though working toward a native 1440p workflow will hopefully be on the cards once I can get the monitors for that)

Need a screenshot of the stream tab
Also you gotta check during the stream to be sure - VODs take a bit to re-process
But you may have to make a new stream key in YouTube and specify 1440p (can’t do the ultra low latency mode iirc)
there's the stream tab, thanks - if I can get a moment to breathe during the broadcast (iRacing broadcasting so I'm monitoring a bunch of stuff to mix into the broadcast) I'll check the max quality live next time, and will wait until the morning in case of a processing update on the latest broadcast 🙂
I see. Yeah I mean it’s totally possible it just hasn’t re-processed
But the stream keys do determine the resolution a little bit on YouTube
given it's not techincally my account and up until now we've always used restream/aircast so limited to 1080p60 cause of other platforms (FB/Twitch/Kick), will have a dig around in YT studio to see about perhaps setting up a new stream key for 1440p specifically 👍
Edit: All the existing keys were set to RTMP + Variable/Auto settings, given I'm responsible for 1 series broadcasting each week I've setup a new key that specifies it's for 1440p and when setting up next week I'll make sure that key is selected
Setting a 1440p stream key seems to have done the trick - thanks for the advice :zPositiveStonks:
GG @YayDanMan, you just advanced to level 1 !
