places that sell cute patterned fleeces like this … but made of cotton and not polyester

I find it to be criminal that Patagonia is charging me $135 to wear fucking polyester. I don’t care how cute their fleeces are. Cotton or wool please

What's wrong with poly fleece for this application?

yeah you really would not want cotton for this

1) cotton fleece is generally awful. 2) wool fleece can't be dyed/printed like this.

3) In an outdoor scenario, wet cotton on something thats supposed to keep you warm is potentially dangerous

There's tons of these fleeces on the second hand market from loads of sellers/manufacturers if you don't want to buy new poly. Though good Patagonia ones are generally fairly pricey.

wool would weigh several times as much and cost even more

You should buy spibers $700 advanced labmade biomaterials Brewed Protein ™️north face Junya collab for something with the good fleece properties and not poly :thinkies:

Columbia make printed fleeces that can still be pretty cute and cost a lot less

If you want something vaguely similar then Story MFG polite pullovers are loosely based on Patagonia fleece pullovers and largely cotton. But also about £3-500 new.

The Brewed Protein fleece material is actually super cool from a tech perspective unfortunately they’ve only made one thing with it and it was ugly

having a poly fleece or not is gonna do nothing to affect your microplastic intake if you eat food or drink liquids on this planet you will fill up on microplastics hope this helps!

I try not to eat my fleece and I think that helps a lot

As for not adding more to our world, buy used and wash rarely

You should look up the thermal capabilities of materials.

The problem with fleece is when washing it, it'll release a lot of microplastics in the waste water. Water treatment plants aren't capable of filtering them so it ends up in the oceans. I mean it's an issue with plastic garments in general
