Waxed canvas pants recs?
Every time when there is heavy rain, my legs are soaked through and I really hate that feeling. I got a raincoat and a pair of bean boots, but what I miss is pants that keep my legs dry. Any recs for pair of nice looking and durable waxed canvas pants?

Only thing that comes to mind are Filson Tin Cloth pants
There are probably others making them though
I've hunted in Red Cloud Collective's waxed pants and in Filson's tin chaps and I will tell you that RCC's waxed pants are the worst things in the world. Do not buy waxed canvas pants. They are hot, not waterproof, and do not dry once they're soaked. You'll just be wetter longer and more uncomfortable.
I'd only ever recommend waxed pants as an over layer with jeans while working or afield. They're way too much for a regular day in or something.
Obligatory "wax canvas pants aren't going to keep your legs dry"
This was probably going to be my other input, not worth it over a modern waterproof trouser that will be lighter, dry quicker and be more breathable
Ya if you really hate having wet legs maybe go with traditional rain pants. Shoutout to FrogTogg for all my UL peeps.
also rewaxing them would be a pain in the ass no?
if you're walking about town an umbrella would be a decent option, if you're out in the trail (insert waterproof pant here; mr zeo wears frog togs, i wear a pair of gramicci nylon pants)
Eh not really. Unless you're wearing them every day through thickets and stuff the wax doesn't really wear down too easily
It'll be a few months before you need to actually rewax
