:AFoxy_Hmph:

lol
also what does one do if his ip is wrong?
ip is wrong...?
what
Hathway?
ye u live in pakistan but ur ip says india
sumthing like dat
im talkin on his behalf
hes shy
where does it say that
@Tarnished Talk
@Kenji-San a pretty common broadband service in inda
also he said india wdym
oh geoip yeah dont worry about that, some of the providers are not updating their prefixes geo location. we dont care about that in this case
?
ye that,he lives in north east india but his ip is in tamil nadu
kenji the smort one
agreed
Radiohead refrance?
@Kenji-San dm
ok average RTT for
GTPL ASN 45916
is about 20-22ms
:KaisaWTF:Wizard @Kenji-San
where is my dude getting 80ms and complaining that spikes reaching 100+
W
Oh I thought it got fixed
^
it will need to get fixed like wtf is my man routing via
ill reach out to the ISP
no offence but Hathway (in general) has been one of the least rated internet broadband services afaik. Services like Jio fiber, Airtel, exitel are pretty common for gaming and entertainment across the country
F
well if they route their domestic players via some long ass path I can imagine why the rating is so bad
is it because of their un-optimal routing tables?
between hop 2 and hop 3 is 60ms diff
seems bad
just to bring this into perspective, I am in Ireland and about 50km away from Dublin, when I ping London servers I get about 18ms
and thats a country away
damn, that's lowkey ideal
about 30ms towards Frankfurt, Germany
has to be bad routing or a heavy network congestion on the user's end
50ms to Sofia Bulgaria
half europe away lmao
crazy
yeah that is very shit whats going on here, let me reach out to these guys and ask them might be a simple fix
Also, is GTPL routing via amazon servers?
cool
all Riot Direct
coolzies
we dont have Amazon edge anymore in India
the 72. xx IPs were amazon no?
a year or two back?
might have been yeah about a year back
people used to say those were mumbai server IPs n all
now it's all Riot direct
figured it from the 151. xx IP
they had no way to check to be honest we only enabled icmps on our VIPs recently
ah
recently = last 3months
you couldnt ping or trace anything related to VIP
it would just show last hop before we blocked it
now its full response, this helps a lot to players and ISPs
fair enough
it used to be on 60-70ms but its on constant 110-120 ms
lovely to hear such updates on servers lowkey
thats criminal
+
you playing on Mumbai servers right ?
before I find out you playing in Europe
lmao
yes sir
could you take a picture of the server list on valorant
please?
okay
in 5mins, im occupied. sorry
oh we are up for some treat folks lmao
all good
ps I'm here doing an Algorithm Design assignment :val_KekwSob:
my friend had a similar exp but his got fixed auto in 3 days
same ISP?
he was from another state though
no
what was his ISP though?
if you know ofcourse
what is that
I had a similar issue except it was on packet loss , my ISP took some time on its own and fixed it in 3 weeks
isp oh
gtpl?
Internet Provider
gtpl
so you and he had the same broadband service?
:MenheraEatingPopcorn:
.
Yea I understand, but was just curious if you both had the same broadband services
no he lives in another state
like in lobby i get 100 ms and in game it goes to 120
both are bad
cool, so he lived in another state and had the same internet service as you have , which is GTPL, right?
no i dont think so
so do you have any idea on what his internet service provider was?
YESS I WANT THE ISP DRAMA
also wow
200 friends..
donate some
@Kenji-San seems like the routing to mumbai and singapore are on the same highway F
at some point, i got less ping on hong kong.
you shouldn't be having mumbai below singapore in the first place, ideally
something is terribly wrong
the suspense

Can i get a update on whats happening or should i just consult more with my isp
Ive emailed them advising that their players are having some very hard time at the moment, no reply yet, if you want you can call them and let them know to contact us to fix this
Peer pressure, best pressure
kenji your pfp is really scary
Wdym, thats me irl:val_KekwSob:
note: never ask kenji for a face reveal
thank you :>
LMAO
The ticket i issued says its solved but i think they left out the fixing the ping part. Does it usually happen?
Does it usually happen with the GTPL? I dont know to be honest but they should not close the ticket until they fixed the problem imho. I asked for update on the email. I suggest you open a new ticket with them, tell them your latency is bad and its a routing issue towards Mumbai, get them the traceroute you gave us and ask them to contact us if they need more info
Is it a problem with my ISP or Valorant servers? If it's my ISP than I wanna get on track to switch it ASAP
ISP
@Kenji-San used to get 150 ping, now it's reduced since the spike to 300+ but it's still at 220, anyway to get it back to how it used to be?

:MenheraEatingPopcorn:
Its routing issue within the ISP thats what we are talking about here. So yeah ISP problem
