Though FWIW from what I’m reading about spi1d (never heard of before today) they’re only 1 dimensional so not useful for traditional LUT usage
LUT to LUT
ColorPipe-tools is a set of tools to handle and process LUTs or color spaces. It includes PlotThatLUT, a tool to plot LUT and LUTLab, a bunch of scripts to handle LUT and colorspace.
At the beginning, I used that site as well, but it got me to a dead end for some reason.
spi1d comes with the OCIO labeled as "luts". So you're very right, while it doesn't work traditionally as a LUT, the documentation somehow categorizes it as LUT.
Which sorta made me hope that a spi1d file (thought it works like an xmp), could be somehow converted to a LUT and use it on Ps as we do.
