First XLR Mic, having trouble fine tuning filters.

I recently was gifted the Shure MV7+ and have no clue how to work it. Its my first xlr mic, so I bought my audio interface, now I struggle fine tuning filters. Im trying to reduce background noises, static, leveling my voice so if I whisper or yell it evens out and doesnt clip and peak. I guess Im trying to make it as good as it can be. Can anyone point me in the best direction on learning all of this? Ive been struggling for the past couple hours trying different tutorials on filters but I seem to make things worse. Edit: Additionally, if this isnt the best place to post this, I apologize.

I've been using Addie's playlist for a while myself! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzo7l8HTJNK8VG3tVDb4vX7CS7Up49gdC It's a good place to get started
