Distant Horizons 2.2.1-a-1.20.1 requires a nonexistent version of Iris
It says that it is incompatible with versions of Iris 1.7.4 and below, but no Iris versions like that exist except for 1.21.X

get the iris 1.8 beta
along with sodium 0.6
The only 1.8 betas are for 1.21.X
not 1.20.1
i believe the jars have been posted in the iris discord, might have to go looking around for it

I think it's a better idea to downgrade DH. Not many mods support Sodium 0.6 on MC 1.20.1.
I kept having this issue, downgrading DH from a backup made the game work again after I tried to get my iris/sodium/dh versions to play nicely with eachother.
