Fabric MP - Chunks not loading correctly
Hey there, i've started playing on a server and have encountered a weird problem or rather two.
First of all the first thing i've noticed is, that the ingame Map seems to be transparent, yes this happens with and whitout shaders so no problems from that.
Secondly there is some weird chunk loading issue with the LODs that happens at that sweet spot between fully texture-perfect-shown and being block-shown. This also happens with and without the shader - i thought that it is something with the render distance but being on 18 chunks shouldnt have that issue. My LOD Render Distance Radius is at 256, but this problem also was there when having it on 128 The server render distance is 12 chunks. Funnily enough the chunks do show if i just take some more steps forward but only partially and unloads again once you go out of the distance where the block-perfect LOD is shown. Ive attached some screenshots of my settings - playing with overdraw prevention couldve helped according to some reddit post but it didnt do anything for me.
Also something that might do something with this issue is the
Things that are way further away like some hundred blocks are just LOD and are fine.

Does the first issue also happen if you try without DH? That does not look like something DH could cause.
The second is not an issue of overdraw prevention being too aggressive, but DH chunks simply not being there. Can you try having a lower render distance, higher cpu load in DH's settings, then walking over the holes?
Do i have to restart the game for the 2nd thing?
Thanks for replying that quickly btw
No, you shouldn't have to
Nah they still kinda unload even tho ive set the cpu to aggressive and having a render distance of 12, i also restarted the game to see if something happens but it didnt
Ok the map thingy also happens when DH is turned off, dont know why this happens then - do you have a clue?
Lemme edit the Post Title then
I have no idea sorry
Have you walked over the holes while having a lower cpu load?
i didnt really walk over them ive just moved a little bit closer like 10 blocks and came back
but ive had a balanced cpu load and it didnt do anything as you can see in the screens above
ok ive walked over the spots and returned but as expected it didnt do anything
Can you try again with the "I paid for the whole Minecraft" preset? And decrease your render distance to something like 4?
i mean... it did make it worse!
10% CPU load btw
Maybe making the Server Render Distance something like 16 would fix this but thats nothing i can do myself
What in the world
Does relogging or restarting do anything?
This is probably not related to the servers render distance
nuh uh
just goes back to this isse - ive reset it to what it was before now
Very weird, im not sure what's happening then
DH 2.1.2-a-1.21 is the complete version if you want to check it out
I've not seen anyone else with 2.1.2 have this issue
thats just cuz im special - nah but ill try to see if a reinstall of the mod maybe fixes this
Nope didnt do anything
What about if you try with just DH installed?
If that didn't do anything, you can also try resetting your LODs and regenerating them
lemme try that
also a problem is, that it's kinda some modded server DH is just part of it and there are some mods that have to be active (most of them are just client side tho)
just DH in Singleplayer is fine ig
also cant just use another DH version because it wont take iris then
can i reset my own LODs and try regenerating them ?
You can

ayo looks like it worked?
maybe some data was corrupted and it couldnt load it propperly
youll also get to see a good mountain ^^
thanks man
Ye bout the map - finding stuff on the internet is annoying cuz people use 'map' as 'world'
- For people that are looking for the Answer and just skip past -
Delete DH server data, like the bot said
Nice! Glad its working now
