Filament Jam with 10kg spool
Hi,
so I'm doing some larger prints right now on a Vcore-4 500mm and thought using 10kg PETG spools would make things easier.
Turns out I'm suddenly getting filament jams and I think they are related to the large spool being ... well heavy.
I have the Orbiter 2 Smart Sensor but it gives too many false positives to be useful for the large 10kg spool.
I'm using this spool holder: https://www.printables.com/model/451252-heavy-spool-holder-025-up-to-10kg with the same setup as the pictures.
Does anyone have some advice how to fix the filament jams? I know that the orbiter 2 should be able to pull the spool and it does for the most time, but after a couple of hours i always get failed prints because no filament is being extruded anymore. And I only have this problem with the large 10kg spool.
Should I use a second orbiter as feeder?

yeah, thats a semi-common issue. Look at the Belay for ideas?
Yeah, I would just add another extruder, bowden style. Just grab a spare stepper motor if you have one laying around. And like @TheTik said, use a extruder sync sensor like the Belay (this is optional, I have my printer without one and have no issues)
Okidoki - perfect thanks!
