Microphone Audio Chain
Hey everyone I've been feeling like my microphone has been a bit weird sounding lately and I'm not entirely sure why. I feel like my processing chain is all correct but I could be wrong.
I don't have access to my PC right this second but will in the evening, just wanted to get this post out there
The chain I have is as follows
Reaper noise suppression
Reaper noise gate
Reaper EQ 1
Reaper EQ 2
Reaper Compression
Reaper Limiter

I would put noise suppression at the end
Anything you do after an effect affects the artifacts that effect causes
So you’re basically EQing and compresssing noise removal artifacts

the 2nd test was w/ my EQ setup like this, (and getting rid of the second one with just the high shelf and low pass altogether)
