How to target players with placeholders using deluxemenus
My issue is that i cannot understand how to target the player clicking an item in the menu made with deluxemenus because if i use the placeholders provided by the wiki i just get "[LP] %player% is not a valid username/uuid.".
Also if for whatever reason it was necessary to know why i'm doing this. It's because i wanna be able to grant a permission that lasts 1 day using Luckperms through the click of an item. But Luckperms obviously won't accept default selectors even with psudocommands installed

What are you trying to do when they click an item?
So basically i wanna give a small amount of money to people that log in every day.
To do that i figured that i could use luckperms' temp perms and my way of integrating this with deluxemenus is just by having two different items in the same slot but displaying only the item with the ability to grant me money when i do NOT have the permission.

i even tried using the {} brackets since i've read someday somewhere (don't remember where, i might be saying bullshit) that they replaced % in favor of curly brackets
but that didn't work as well
