version mismatch
Hello, I have an issue with setting up Rat OS for my voron 0, I am running into the issue of a version mismatch (see pic attached) I saw that others had this issue but couldn't seem to find a clear way to resolve it. Any help would be greatly apricated.

Your control board needs updated. Notice it says on your pi its version .12 while on the mcu it says .11
I tried to do that within ratos but it says its up to date when in the wizard
is there a way to brute force it to the new firmware?
Burn the firmware to an sd card and stick it into the board probably. What control board are you using?

i have flashed the firmware Ratos has supplied me a few times and nothing makes any difference

How have you verified that the flashing worked via sd card?
Yes, i checked and the .Bin changed to FIRMWARE
is there a way of flashing it again through the mainsail interface or do i have to rerun the inital setup process each time?
I think you can only do it through the configurator but I haven't tried out ratos 2.1 yet.
sound like the board might need a hard reset. I have no idea how to do that, but it should be possible
Ive heard of issues with the Pro boards around flashing but since its accepting firmware it seems to rule that out
ill see if i can find a way to do that
A quick read thru the manual didn't mention it. Nor did it mention the firmware name change once the flash is completed.
I was trying to find that too, how to verify that it accepted the new firmware
In every printer ive owned the firmware one flashed to the board goes from firmware.bin to FIRMWARE, i think its a CUR file, not 100 percent

ya, well i have it on i just dont recall. i can say for certain it has flashed, if it hadnt klipper wouldnt be able to say its out of date

SKR ProV1.2 firmware update
On trying to update the firmware on the Btt SKR Pro v1.2 using the usual sd card it wouldn’t update( file wouldn’t change from .bin to .cur). I'm assuming you've deleted the file on the card to be sure you have a fresh file?

So you've verified that its a new file generated, and that the filename changed after flashing. hm
when updating packages in mainsail, are you updating ratos before the other updates, and then rebooting it?
the last time i did it from what i recall i updated klipper first but think after that just used the update all function
always update ratos first, then update all, then reboot.

on prevoious machines ive had on ratos it never mattered what order it was in but ill try it
I also just saw a reddit post that said the sd card needs to be formatted with 4096 blocks, you mentioned 8k upthread. That might be the fix
i tried both and both seem to flash fine, the ratos repo says you can use either
your ratos is old, you need 2.1
it's not the one linked in the guide, have to go to github releases

one more thing, what size is the card you're using to flash the skr?
the sd card was 16gb formatted fat 32, although it seems to have walked off since last flash as i cant seem to find it now, I think I might actually be going mad

i think you might be right, new sd cards tomorrow and reset everything and restart. Still got all the fun of Canbus, tramming and Voron boop left
canbus and ratos don't really play nice, hope you knew that going in
ya ive heard its not the best process but hey, if it doesnt work i just wire the tool normally
