please explain how to play old game version for dummies
Deleted last post to avoid spam, I’ve read the announcement and the linked documents and have backed up my game files for satisfactory 8 experimental and the saved games folder. I have no idea what to no next and can find no option for SML to launch from the old game files. I do not know if the way I’ve copied the files and pasted them else where will prevent the Epic Games Launcher from trying to update those files. Can I get a “For Dummies” step-by-step?

You can't launch archival copy from SMM. You have to create shortcut with steam/epic integrations disabled and run game from that shortcut.
