Hi, I am trying to remove BM access to show player names. I have set server.censorplayerlist to "true" but it still shows the player names after I server.writecfg + restart

so would i need to unsubscribe from BM RCON to resolve this?
Correct, if you have RCon connected, it'll use the RCon data.
Other Option is to upgrade to RCON+ & hide the public server from list
