linking domain to server ip
bedrock server, made the A record correctly and DNS only double checked the server ip and pinged the domain to check its pointing to the correct ip, any help would be apreciated. i also pinged it and the record is definitley propagated π¦ server ip;198.244.176.214 domain name:plantpatch.uk

Any help would be provided if you would actually provide info on how your dns is configured

You may need to define a port with srv as well

the server ip doesnt have a . at the end just in the name lol
im so confused what im doing wrong could it be at my end? but wierdly i can join other servers and im able to join my server directly through the server ip just not the domain name

i figured out how to set up a geyser server with a custom domain idk why tf i cant with this
Possible that your record did not propagate fully
So you can ping it, but when you try to play, it doesnβt resolve
Iβve seen 1.1.1.1 with some fast update speeds, so if possible, you can try updating your upstream dns server to be 1.1.1.1 instead of your isp stuff

I think so, Iβm not too sure, as I forward my dns requests to 1.1.1.1 (and 8.8.8.8 as backup) on my firewall
Check the ending of either and make sure theres no spaces
checked the A record aswell

you might want to do it like so
change my 10.0.1.1 to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 (or 1.0.0.1)

ipconfig /flushdns in cmd prompt then restart mcAlready did that aswell

its just bedrock being annoyingworked for me

what command did u do
thats everything cant do srv as bedrock doesnt accept it
Are you able to use a custom port (19132)?
SRV doesn't work with bedrock, so you'll have to do the domain + the port

Yeah, in order to use just the domain you will need to change the port to 19132

If you use the 19132 for Bedrock, you won't need to input the port.

Yes, you can't forward the domain to the port and you can't join a domain + custom port

You can ask them to see if they have a dedicated IP available
