I can’t read the diagram
Use y= xtantheta(1-x/r) to determine height
Use y= x tan theta - gx^2/(2u^2 cos^2 theta)
y = x tan theta- x^2 sin theta/u cos theta(2u^2 cos theta/g)
y= x tan theta(1-x/r)
45 degrees would mean Rmax so u^2/g
