Thoughts on cropping this jacket?
Hi, im thinking of cropping this jacket bc it feels too long. Any thoughts on that before I make irreversible decisions?
Second pic is with the hem folded in at roughly the height i would cut.

Or would you crop higher/lower than that?
I'd say definitely! Makes your legs look much longer!
Gorgeous hair, my friend. Imho the main issue with shortening jackets is, that you are altering a pre-defined visual weight center to be higher than what was intended. Depending on what you want to emphasize about your body, that may be beneficial to you. As the above commenter has said, your legs look longer, you emphasize your chest more etc etc. Then there's the issue of jacket proportions itself being messed up. Your lowest buttonhole would–as shown in the photo–essentially sit on the edge of the skirt, which is subjectively not a good look. I can't tell if the jacket has pockets, but the opening would also face the same issue of being relatively closer-than-comfortable to the edge of the skirt, and so on. You will also lose the decorative elements, but that's self-explanatory! Finally, if you still wanted to roll with it, I would shorten the sleeves as well and put on some accessories on the wrist, and then, my nitpicks above aside, you'd be on fire!
Yeah, i should prolly cut off above the second button. Also have been thinking about the sleeves, as they are too long anyway
I would go like a cm lower than you have it pinned there, so the 2nd button sits centred like the current lowest one does
Helps it look more intentional maybe?
I also think sleeve length is pretty good like that ⬆️
Good thought!
Cutting off less is always better (bc you can cut again later if you don't like it :D). Also I was thinking of just raw hemming it - any thoughts on that?
I like a raw hem! You might want to put a locking stitch just above it depending on how much fraying you're cool with
crop makes this jacket go hard, raw hem makes it harder, do it
All right, scissoring time!
Jacket now goes incredibly hard. Thanks for the advice!
Also added a small eye patch on the back
This is cool as fuck
Thanks for enabeling me!
