Unable to flash Octopus V1.1
Tried a few things so far:
- Flashing via SD card (firmware.bin does not change to FIRMWARE.CUR)
- Flashing via DFU - get "Octopus V1.1 detected but is unresponsive."
- Automatically flashing - also fails
This board shipped with my VCore 4 kit - is it just Dead On Arrival, or am I missing a step for flashing?

Any issues writing to the SD card? Tried a different card?
After flashing via DFU, have you tried skipping to the next step in the configurator? (manually change the step number in the URL)...

SD card has zero issues writing to it, not sure if I have another SD card to try
Manually skipping the step works, but I'm not certain this solves the board not being flashed?
It helped someone else. It was like the configurator couldn't talk to it, but once "up and running" it was fine.
When you tried to flash via DFU, you didn't get an error right? Only after flashing it says the "detected but uresponsive" bit?
Correct - no error, just the "unresponsive" message after flashing
yeah, just try skipping the step. I don't know why it worked, but I know it did.
Interesting. Is there a way to tell in Mainsail if the board is detected (and the toolhead board too)?
you don't get a "mcu not detected" error 😛
I also just realized I'm using RatOS 2.0.2, not 2.1. Retrying with 2.1, hopefully it goes smoother
Reflashed both toolhead and main mcu via DFU, and after connecting the beacon, everything looks like it's working
Can I reopen this? I’m having this same issue and when I try to manually skip to the next step, I’m also unable flash the toolboard. Are there any other tricks to try, or might I have a faulty octopus?

Main thing for me was using RatOS 2.1, and using DFU for both boards. Good luck!
