Clothing brand recommendations please
Hi, I am overhauling my wardrobe and need some general recommendations on brands that have nice shirts ( Polo shirts and button-downs ) and Jeans (I used to be a denim-head but have washed up since ).
I greatly appreciate any responses.

I am in the UK
budget is about £60-80 pounds per item
inspirations would be shrimpest from this server
I love his outfits but would be buying a slightly smaller cut as I am not used to baggy clothes
Abercrombie UK currently has a good range of jeans from straight to loose to baggy fit https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/uk/mens-jeans-bottoms?icmp=ICT:FALL24:M-A:HP:T20:DNM:PDT:X:AugWk4:X:
Men's Jeans & Denim | Abercrombie & Fitch
Check out an on-trend assortment of men's jeans at Abercrombie & Fitch. Shop skinny, athletic & bootcut jean styles. Find your fit today.
Also a good option for polos and button downs tbh!
Check the sale section for especially good deals

I would do a lot of searching on eBay and vinted to start. Tons of options if you size up or are willing to crop or tailor stuff to fit
https://m.en.anglan.co.kr/onlinestore.html#none has options on the higher end of that price range
If you find brands you like you can put up saved searches on eBay and vinted and depop within your price range
I know @tun🌻 got a good deal on some story mfg pants in this genre recently
A lot of fast fashion these days is in this genre - cos, weekday, etc all have things that will work in that price range especially on sale
Big bud press probably
Yeah, saving searches in my size and checking frequently has got me many bargains especially on Vinted @Likepizza | pizza. For that budget you'll get a whole world of options 2nd hand
But even searching like “baggy” or “wide-leg” jeans, secondhand, under 30gbp you’ll find a ton of shit on eBay and vinted
Learn your measurements (measure clothes you own and like the fit of) and you’ll feel more confident buying online
Some brands that you should be able to find in that price range or less secondhand:
For pants and shorts, searching for “baggy”, “wide-leg”, “skater,” “y2k”, “balloon” will maybe help
These brands have a lot in that genre at those prices secondhand + are good starting points for similar brands: Marithe + Francois girbaud, southpole, levis (550, 560, baggy), stan ray, solo semore, carhartt, gap
Military surplus stuff could also work (too many for me to list + I’m less knowledgeable here)
For tops:
no maintenance makes some food cropped boxy stuff available in that range secondhand, and fast fashion has a ton rn since it’s trendy. Camp collars are good and trend words boxier shirts.
A lot of : Polo Ralph Lauren, brooks brothers, gap, Abercrombie and fitch, banana republic, j crew have made boxier fit stuff in the past, eg the “Giant fit” stuff from j crew or the “big shirt” or “big Oxford” from gap and PRL. this is one where getting a shirt and measuring it will make a huge difference
But also you should just set up heavily filtered searches on all the sites if you don’t care as much about the brands
Advice I picked up from someone here a while ago is to find brands you like, look up brands that either were popular at the same time / in the same subculture or find stockists that carry them and find brands in the same genre
Use that to build out your Rolodex / set of references
Profit
Also posting this repo of UK and EU brands again, some good ones on here to have a browse through (and also add to the Vinted & eBay searches :P) https://sachagoat.notion.site/81c4078b47e646cda68fadad9e2eaf09?v=a31355f65def46bdae723a31827284bc&pvs=4
Some really good stuff from like, Albam, Nigel Cabourn, MHL, Story Mfg., Universal Works, Sunspel etc pops up pretty often on UK sites for probably cheaper than you'd find it elsewhere since they're more plentiful over here
Oh another good curated 2nd hand site is https://www.marrkt.com/collections/new-arrivals - often slightly higher prices than eBay but they do a lot of work in curating and legit-checking. It's a good reference point for common high quality brands to look for 2nd hand even if you don't buy from there

That's the holy grail threads compiled into a spreadsheet.
some of those recs/threads are outdated fwiw; while it's a good base especially for secondhand, there's an ongoing series in #topic-of-the-day which sets out to modernize some of the recommendations by item
also very American-centric when Op is in UK, a few of those brands just don't exist here in any meaningful sense
thank you
