DH 2.2 + Oculus
Like lots of people, I've come here from a recent stack of videos on the DH mod and my gf and me started to try and make our own MC profile incl DH.
Now, what I've tried:
Forge:
* DistantHorizons-2.2.0-a-1.20.1-forge-fabric.jar
* embeddium-0.3.30+mc1.20.1.jar
* lithosphere 1.2 25.06.2024.jar
* oculus-mc1.20.1-1.7.0.jar
Doesn't work, throws the following error during initialization:
I've read in some other posts in here that this version of DH is apparently incompatible with Oculus.
If so, what would you suggest regarding getting a version close to 1.20 to work with the above mentioned mods (that is: DH + Embeddium + Lithosphere + Oculus)?

i suggest using DH 2.1.2 for now
Would DH 2.1.2 be compatible with the already present versions of those mods or would I have to change them to other versions?
im not sure about embeddium. lithosphere is probably compatible with the other mods but i cant guarantee. if it boots with these mods, its probably compatible
and oculus is compatible
I'll try it and report back, thanks so far!
np!

gives me a "This pack doesn't have DH support" when loading into a world, hm...
Oh, I forgot to add: I'm using Bliss Shaders (Blissv2.0.4(Chocapic13_Shaders_edit).zip)
you need to use the in-dev version of bliss

Thanks, I think it works! Definitely not getting the same error and LODs are being rendered, I think, albeit a little slowly overall. But I'll keep reading some more stuff in here, because I imagine that might be a very common issue.
Appreciate the help either way!
nice!
One issue persists a little, that is somewhat random crashing during the game - I would imagine when loading LODs. I tried the "aggressive" and "paid for the whole CPU" settings a little. here and there they worked, but just now I seem to get crashes when being in a certain region (on top of a rather high mountain, for example).
did you allocate enough ram?
it was apparently 4G so far, I'll try 8G now
alright. 4g is not a lot so 8g should do a lot better
I assume Oculus devs will have to work on bringing the latest version of Iris to Forge whenever that releases,,
Oculus will not receive any more updates
Iris replaces it
Oop, alright
Well that's good to know
