Help me finish a “smart casual” wedding outfit
I recently bought the casual cotton/linen blazer in the picture attached and I’m trying to put together a smart casual outfit with it for an upcoming wedding. What would you recommend for the rest of the outfit? Weather will be somewhere between 65-80 degrees.

I’d personally style this with an Oxford shirt in a light solid color or university stripe, tan or olive chinos, a knit tie, and either sneakers or loafers.
Here are some outfits that are close to the vibe I’m looking for
If it’s smart casual, I’d prefer no tie myself. Chinos of a complementary color would work.
Yeah the look would work with no tie, if you prefer
Thanks! If I go with loafers, should I match the belt with the color of the shoes or no?
That’s always a safe option, but don’t lose any sleep if it’s not a perfect match. Same color family is just fine
no tie with a jacket is silly looking imo but it does fit the dress code
That’s normal for business casual. For smart casual, it can seem a bit dressy, but you can make it casual enough with other choices. I always have a pocket square, with or without tie.
I wore a jacket, no tie, to a meeting recently, and only noticed after it started that the agenda specified smart casual dress. I wasn’t the only guy wearing a jacket, but most did not.
bro im not gonna fry brain cells trying to differentiate between "business casual" and "smart casual" dress codes
I wasn’t worried either. But it’s a thing. When I used to run a lot of meetings, once in a while, people expressed gratitude for having the dress code listed, usually business casual. It makes it easier when you’re deciding what to pack for a trip.
